THE UK ECERS NETWORK

The UK ECERS Network is a peer support group of local authorities and other organisations using the Environment Rating Scales for quality improvement.

The aim of the network is to share good practice in use of the Environment Rating Scales, as well as to provide a broader forum for supporting quality improvement work. There are usually 2 or 3 meetings per year, rotated to cover the north, midlands and south of England. Typical meetings include presentations from local authorities using the scales, updates on recent UK developments, research and policy updates, and time for discussion/sharing of good practice. Meetings are regularly attended by representatives from the DfE and Ofsted, as well as the authors of the ECERS-E (Professor Kathy Sylva, Professor Iram-Siraj Blatchford and Brenda Taggart).

The group is convened by A+ Education Limited. Membership is currently free, and there is no charge to attend meetings. However, we do depend on members to host meetings, and ask at each meeting for offers to host the next session. If you think you would be able to host a meeting, or to contribute towards the cost of providing lunch, please do let us know.

If you are interested in being part of the UK ECERS Network, please contact Sylvia Brown: sylvia[email protected]

The next meeting will be held in on 18th October of 2018 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Please contact us if you are interested in attending, or in hosting future meetings.
