THE UK ECERS NETWORK
The UK ECERS Network is a group of individuals, Local Authorities and other organisations who use the Environment Rating Scales for quality improvement. The three authors of the ECERS-E (Professor Kathy Sylva, Professor Iram-Siraj Blatchford and Brenda Taggart) are also members and often attend the meetings. The group is convened by A+ Education Limited.
The aim of the UK ECERS network is to share good practice use of the Environment Rating Scales. There are usually 3 meetings per year – one in the North, one in the Midlands and one in the South. Typical meetings include presentations from Local Authorities using the scales, updates on recent UK developments, discussion and sharing of good practice. Membership is currently free, and there is no charge to attend meetings. However, we do depend on members to host meetings, and ask at each meeting for offers to host the next session. If you think you would be able to host a meeting, or to contribute towards the cost of providing lunch, please do let us know.

The next UK ECERS Network meeting will be co-hosted by Derby City Council and Derbyshire County Council at the YMCA in Derby. The date has now been changed to Wednesday 1st February, 2012.
